Christmastown Log! (Hotsprings)

The hotsprings aren't exactly what you'd expect at the north pole, but it beats having to set up a water heater for the workshop. ♥ Open to guests for tonight, the hot water releases a haze among the snowbanks, counterpoint to the cold weather. There are towels handy for people getting out.

*shifts awkwardly, looking Ian up and down, wondering if Ian will come up with another marriage proposal or something soon, and sighs, bringing out the baldy-wrapped prsenet from behind his back*

Oh, what the hell. It's for you. It was supposed to be your 'Secret Santa' thing, but... whatever. You know who it's from now. I guess that's Chaos Theory or something, huh?

*smiles a little and holds out the sphere*

*laughs nervously, remembering all too well a certain topic he had made whilst under the influence of morphine. He forces a smile, hoping that Kadaj won't bring up the incident.*

Yeah...I guess it is. Thank you very much. Wow...

*somewhat apprehensively, Ian takes the sphere from Kadaj and begins to slowly unwrap it.*

*Kadaj watches as Ian unwraps the present. It's a small red globe like a large marble*

*Ian gazes at the sphere with a hint of uncertainty combined with curiosity.*

...It's pretty. Ah...if you don't mind me asking, what is it?

It's Materia!

Oh, one of those magic things you talk about so much?

Yeah, that's right! And it's not just any Materia...

*Kadaj reaches over and touches at the red globe, clearly quite excited*

...it's Summon Materia! You can summon a monster with it! I know how much you seem to love chaos, so I thought you could really cause some chaos with it!

*he seems very pleased with himself*

*Ian is silent as he looks down at the sphere.*

*He smiles faintly before looking back up at Kadaj.*

...Heh. Chaos theory in effect right here. I would have never guessed that you were my Secret Santa. It's...pretty cool.

*And yet oh-so scary when Ian thinks back to the post he made on DDD.*

I carried my Bahamut Sin Materia everywhere so I could get you that one. I think you should try it out.

*grins with glee as a huge, dark, dragonlike creature fills the sky*

*Bahamut Sin gives a loud, screeching roar*

*he indicates the glowing Materia equipped on his arm*

*he gives another wave of his arm and Bahamut Sin dissipates just before he gets to devour a small group of cowering elves*

It might be "cool" back home but there's not enough room to do it here. Besides, I'm pretty sure Santa needs those elves. *sighs*

*pouts and un-equips the Summon Materia, passing it back to Ian*

*Ian pockets the Materia, grimacing at the thought of Bahamut Sin monstrous form.*
